I had a HP Laser printer for years and it was excellent. The HP Laserjet Pro 300 printer side is no exception. Unfortunately that's where it ends, the scanning unit is awful. It's clunky, noisy to the point of intrusive when your working and I have found the imaging quality to be poor. I am on my 3rd unit in as many months due to a persistant problem with the scanning unit repeatedly initialising and going through it's clunky, noisy initialisation cycle which drives you nuts when you are trying to work. As I write I await an engineer to replace the scanning unit! I believe it is a firmware issue as I have encountered the same problem with all replaced units and the scanner has worked fine (with poor results!) on each unit I have had. Should the issue not be resolved today I will be calling it a day with this product and looking for a refund. I have now totalled 6 work days I have had to clear outgoing appointments waiting on couriers to deliver or collect replacement/faulty units!
