  • Great laser printer for home use

Build quality seems on par with the office line of laserjets which is very good (I specially loved the 4si I used at the office years ago, couldn't kill it even if I wanted to) ... The printer has slower processor, less RAM, prints slower (as a result of CPU and RAM) and has less paper tray capacity than the office line (not that it's 'slow', just slower than the office line) but being for home this is to be expected, most important to me is build quality, print quality, jetdirect functionality (both WiFi and wired LAN) and easy setup/trouble free operation, all that at a incredibly low price! (Be aware though that the toners are expensive but they do print a lot of pages per toner) ... The printer is a bit larger than it seems on pictures, not a problem for me but something to consider if you have little space at home, things I would have liked and would earn it 5 stars as a home printer would be duplex and a bit higher capacity paper tray like 250 or even 500 (seems like there's room for it had the tray been taller), not that I print that much, just lazy and dont want to keep an eye on paper level which is why I like the laserjets toner capacity - When I need to print something I dont want to spend time on filling up with toner and paper and spend time on setup the print, I just want to press a button to print and have a good result every time.... I simply love this 'little' color laser printer and couldn't really ask for more at that price and I actually feel I got much more than I paid for ...

Most painless installation I ever had for a printer. My only good experience with Windows8.1. I have had no issues with this printer. Easy wireless setup. Would definitely recommend this product. Not an all in one but if you have a flatbed scanner it turns into a seamless copier. Good work H.P.
